PORTABLE and SAFE?
The USB has been a big help to people. It can store large files compared to the old-school diskette. The USB saving device has revolutionized storing files in a portable and mobile way. But could you comment on it's vulnerability to viruses found all over the world? The use of USB from different PCs or Laptops from one place to another sometimes spreads Viruses.
Could you describe your experiences of viruses from the use of USBs?

Well i have one such experience which i wld like to share with u guys.
I regularly borrow movies from frnds, so one day i copied some movies n when i plugged in the usb in my sys
it detected a virus.
I immediately unplugged the USB,
Then scanned my sys completely, luckily was jus a small trojan.
From then onwards i regularly scan watever i use...

RE: PORTABLE and SAFE?
The way to protect your computer from viruses is to scan the files you copy into your computer.
It is a slow process to scan the USB memories (stick, mp3 players, other types of memories) since those types of memories are not as fast as a HDD, but it will keep away the unwanted viruses. If you scan the USB card before using it the USB will be safe and portable.
Until now I didn’t have any major problems with computer viruses because I use a firewall and an Antivirus.
I use ZoneAlarm and Avira Antivir. Both are free and make a good work in keeping you computer clean, however you may want to use a good anti spyware program as well.
